Identity<\/b><\/h3>\n

Known as the “Ciudad Condal”, Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, an open, modern and welcoming city. So much so that, according to the city council census data recorded in January 2023, there are currently<\/span> 1,660,435 inhabitants<\/b> in the city from<\/span> 117 different nationalities<\/b>, apart from Spanish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Barcelona, as in the rest of Catalonia,<\/span> two official languages<\/b> are spoken, <\/span>catalan<\/b>, the language of the Catalans, and <\/span>spanish<\/b>, the language of the Spanish state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
